As per the reports, Mathagam Season 1 ended with a shocking twist that revealed that Mottamuni was actually Ashwath’s brother who had joined Sekar’s gang to infiltrate it from within. Mottamuni had also saved Ashwath from being killed by Sekar in the final showdown.
However, Mottamuni’s true motives and loyalties are still unclear. So, it could be possible that Mottamuni’s back story and his relationship with Ashwath will show in the second season. Mathagam Season 1 left a lot of questions for the people and they want to get it answered in the second season.

Mathagam Season 1 is directed by Dhilip Kumar. The producer of the series is Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies. Additionally, the music is composed by Govind Vasantha. Kumaravel, Mani Ratnam, and Dhilip Kumar were the writers of the series and Manoj Paramahamsa handled the cinematography.
